My thanks to the many teachers over the last 25 years who have helped me visualize the objectives and then achieve them. Special Thanks to: Dr. H.L.M. Van Schaik, Michael Poulin, Karl Mikolka, Major Hans Wikne, Walter Christensen, Gunter Kolb, Lockie Richards, Kathy Connelly and Mark Russell

Teaching and traveling are two of my passions. My designer's eye helps me see the various inconsistencies that riders and horses have developed together. My teaching methods have been refined over many years to explain the concepts simply, in language most riders will truly understand. I've learned from some of the best and watched carefully as to how positive correction worked best for horse & rider. Correction delivered with annoyance never helped me learn, nor does it for most people. I want to go forth and "slay the dragon of teaching with annoyance"...!

My video "Focus on Flexibility" is a good overview of my basic approach and method. For a weekend clinic I usually make a presentation of concepts and biomechanics on the Friday night and recommend a private lesson for both Saturday & Sunday. However, I can be very flexible to arrangements that might better fit your situation. Please feel free to contact me for pricing and scheduling of clinics in your area.

The Dressage by Design program is dedicated to Tucker (1966-1997). He was my greatest teacher - he was difficult, opinionated and routinely brilliant. A hot thoroughbred with lots of ideas, he showed me how awe inspiring the riding of a joyous horse can be.
